Hi I’m Beth Hobart with Beth Sells Florida, and today I want to tell you more about why I love my city of Orlando.
Orlando is made up of several neighborhoods, and one of my favorites is the vibrant, charming neighborhood of College Park.
College Park has long been one of Orlando’s traditional, family-oriented neighborhoods. It has, in recent years, become known as a great neighborhood for young professionals and local businesses as well. Located just Northwest of downtown Orlando, this unique community is the best of urban living with a small town charm.
Named for the college themed street names, such as Yale, Princeton and Harvard, College Park has also been home to some truly fascinating characters, like astronaut John Young, and famous writer Jack Kerouac.
College Park is a food lover’s dream. The award-winning K restaurant always has great events, like wine tastings and special guest chef dinners. You can grab some classic pub fare and a craft beer at Ollie’s, followed by dessert at the retro Soda Fountain. And then you can even experience an elegant afternoon tea service at Infusion Tea.
There is no shortage of outdoor activities in College Park, including tee time at the historic Dubsdread Golf Course, home to Orlando golfers since 1924.
If you haven’t been to College Park before, I highly recommend that you take a stroll and see what it’s all about.
